For the first time in program history, the Osakis cross country team had multiple athletes run in the state meet. Parkers Prairie's James Suchy, along with Minnewaska's Maeson Tank and Lauryn Ankeny finish the season strong with solid showings at the Class A state meet.
Led by a handful of season and personal bests, the Alexandria girls cross country team earned second place at the MSHSL Class AA state meet on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022. Freshman Citori Halbe ran a personal best time on Saturday and finished ninth.
The Alexandria boys and girls cross country teams are headed to the MSHSL Class AA State Meet on Nov. 5 after winning the Section 8AA titles on Thursday. The Alexandria girls team had top-10 finishes by Citori Halbe, Jaelyn Miller and Brooklyn Jurchenko, while Alexandria's Landon Runge and Harrison Greathouse had top-10 finishes in the boys race.
The Minnewaska girls finished first in the West Central Conference meet, while the boys were second. Osakis boys took third at the CMC championship, and the girls posted their first varsity team score of the season.
The Alexandria girls and boys cross country teams finished second place at the Central Lakes Conference championship meet on Tuesday in Fergus Falls and both had four all-conference runners.
The Ashby-Brandon-Evansville and Parkers Prairie cross country programs had solid showings at a Tuesday meet in Evansville. James Suchy placed thrid in the boys varsity race while Logan Froemming finished eighth.
