Scholarship

Allison Prestby, a student at Alexandria Area High School, has been awarded a

prestigious Pacific Lutheran University President's Scholarship worth $26,000 a year - along with the

opportunity to earn more. Pacific Lutheran University is a private liberal arts university in Tacoma, Washington.

Prestby is still considering her college options and has not commited to Pacific Lutheran.

Dean's lists

These students have been named to the 2017 fall semester dean's list at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Students on the dean's list have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher:

Alecia Kaelke, Alexandria has been named to the 2017 fall semester dean's list at Lincoln University of Missouri. In order to qualify for the dean's list, a student must acquire at least a 3.0 grade point average.

Tyler Maanum, Alexandria, was among the 4,197 North Dakota State University students to be placed on the fall 2017 dean's list. Maanum is majoring in pharmacy. A student must earn a 3.50 grade point average or higher and be enrolled in at least 12 class credits to qualify for the list.

 

President's List

Megan Egenes of Alexandria has made the President's List at Lake Area Technical Institute, Watertown, S.D. The President's list is limited to full-time students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.5 to 4.0.

 

Honors

These students have received honors for achievement during the 2017 fall semester of study at Southwest Minnesota State University- Marshall,. To earn an Honors achievement, an undergraduate student must complete 12 or more credits and achieve a grade-point- average of 3.5 or higher:
