The Alexandria wrestling team finished up a busy stretch to end the week by sweeping Barnesville and Staples-Motley by scores of 60-24 and 45-30, respectively, on Saturday.

Alexandria used a big stretch in the heavier weight classes to pull away from Staples-Motley with four six-point wins from 160 pounds through 220. Cody Vatnsdal started that run with a pin in 0:38, while JP Rodel added a forfeit win at 170. Mason Teaser (182, 2:51) and Luke Maanum (220, 0:37) both added pins to help secure the win.
McGrane continued his big season with another pin at 106 pounds in 3:36. Brenden Bryce won a 4-0 decision, and AJ Sparr (132, fall, 0:26) and Kelly Johnson (145, fall, 3:47) got pins.
