The West Central Area boys golf team brought home another Quad County Conference win at Balmoral Golf Course in Otter Tail County on Thursday.
Grant Beuckens shot a five-over-par 77 to pace the pack. Mitch (87) and Marshall Dewey (92) took fifth and sixth while Sam Hanson shot a 97. Peyton Hanson (99), Devon Benson (104) rounded out the day for the Knights.
WCA’s team score of 353 was good enough for first place. Hillcrest Lutheran’s Joel Quam finished right behind Beuckens to lead his team to a second-place finish.
“It was another good day for our guys, but they’re still hungry to get better,” WCA head coach Kraig Hunter said. “Many of them were disappointed in their scores and a lot of strokes they left out there were course management mistakes. We will continue to work on those as we get to practice more on the course.”
