The Alexandria volleyball team got its second sweep in a row on Thursday night, this time breezing past Rocori to move to 6-2 in the Central Lakes Conference.

The Cardinals (9-9) rolled over the Spartans (5-8, 2-6 CLC), winning 25-12, 25-9 and 25-14. Mia McGrane had 15 kills and Ella Grove added 11. Erika Roderick finished with 31 assists, and Tessa McGrane had a team-high 17 digs.

Osakis sweeps the Thunder

Osakis halted a two-match losing streak on Thursday night by rolling over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in a sweep.

The Thunder (4-17, 1-4 Prairie Conference) could not break through in two close sets to start as the Silverstreaks (6-11, 5-1 Prairie) won 25-20 and 25-18 to jump out early. It was all Osakis in the third in a 25-5 final.

The Silverstreaks served at a 91.3% clip and got seven kills from Laynee Hartshorn. Madisen Johanson added five kills and 13 assists, while Jacey Larson led from the back row with 17 digs.

Lakers win third straight

Minnewaska (8-4, 6-2 West Central Conference) made easy work of Montevideo (3-14, 0-9 WCC) on Thursday.

The Thunder Hawks have lost 10 straight matches, and the Lakers never let them stick around in 25-13, 25-21, 25-13 sweep.

Ellie Danielson and Alexis Piekarski led the way at the net with 11 and nine kills, respectively. Avery Hoeper had nine digs and Sara Geiser finished with 26 assists.

Arrows searching for first win

The Ashby volleyball team is still searching for its first win after falling in three sets to Rothsay on Thursday night.

The Tigers (6-6) won the match by 25-9, 25-19 and 25-11 scores.

Amelia Barry had 10 digs and five assists for the Arrows (0-17). Anissa Henrich had a team-high five kills.
