The West Central Area volleyball team got the best of Frazee in the first set on Thursday night before the Hornets flipped the script and won in four sets.
The Knights (1-1) won the first set 25-22, but it was all Frazee during a 25-11 second set. The Hornets kept the momentum to win 25-19 and 25-21 to complete the comeback.
“Game one was a hard-fought battle with some great blocks made by Liz Rustan and Kaylyn Ulrich, forcing Frazee to try and go around, which in turn led to some errors on their part,” WCA head coach Melissa Foslien said. “But the Hornets came out strong in game two, quickening up their offense, relying on Paige Oswald to take care of business. Games three and four were closer, but the Knights just couldn’t get their offense going to pull away with the win.”
Hailey Bennett and Rustan each had five kills for WCA. Bennett added six assists and 17 digs, as well.
