The Minnewaska volleyball team headed to Sauk Centre on Tuesday night and returned home with a three set West Central Conference loss.

The loss makes the Lakers' overall record 4-17 with a conference record of 1-11.

The Mainstreeters took the first set 25-15 and then carried that momentum into the second set for a decisive 25-7 victory. The Lakers fought back in the third set, but ultimately lost 25-20.

Sara Geiser and Ellie Danielson each had four kills on the night. Emma Thorfinnson had three kills and the team's only ace of the match. Bailey Stewart led the Lakers' defense with 12 digs.

The Lakers host Melrose on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 for another West Central Conference match.
