The Minnewaska boys and girls track and field teams competed in the West Central Conference meet Tuesday.

The Laker girls win the conference championship with 202 total points. The boys took third place with 82.5 points. The top two finishers in each event were named to the all-conference team. Third place getters were all-conference honorable mention.

Stephanie Langman took third place in the pole vault (8-00.00). Ellie Danielson took first place in the high jump, as she has done many times this year, with her height of 5-02.00. Kristen Glover finished second in the triple jump. She had a distance of 31-07.00.

Metaya Jergenson dominated the discus with her 99-08.50 throw. She threw four feet further than benson's Madison Rohner who finished in second.

The girls 4x800 relay took first place. The team of teagan Star, Bailey Schoen, McKenzie Luetmer and Makena Thoen ran a 10:20.90. Minnewaska's team of Glover, Julia Kuehne, Danielson and Emily Kaiser won the 4x200 relay (1:50.60).

Ava Chevalier took third place in the 100 meter hurdles (17.66) Emma Kovarik ran a 49.42 in the 300 meter hurdles to take first place.

Kaiser just edged out Morris' Olivia Lebrija in the 100 meter dash to take first place (13.09) Glover (1:01.56) and Luetmer (1:02.67) placed first and second in the 400 meter dash. Danielson (2:33.79) and Thoen (2:34.36) finished second and third in the 800 meter. Kaiser had another first place finish in the 200 meter dash with her time of 27.14. Sydney Hagen took third place in the 3200 meter run with a time of 13:18.30.

Peyton Johnsrud won the boys high jump with a height of 6-01.00. Connor Johnsrud took first place in the triple jump with a distance of 41-01.00.

Jackson Meyer won the 100 meter dash with his time of 11.66. Rounding out the accolades for the Lakers was the boys 4x200 relay. John Helander, Hunter Moen, Nathan Pitzen and Meyer took first with a time of 1:34.50.
