Tennis: Lakers off to 2-1 start

The Minnewaska girls tennis team is off to a 2-1 start to the season after dominating Sauk Centre on Thursday night.

The Lakers (1-1 West Central Conference) dropped just eight games throughout the 7-0 win against the Mainstreeters. Alissa Thorfinnson, Addy Randt, Maddie Thorfinnson and Leah Hagen took care of business in the singles lineup.

Anneka Randt and Olivia Richards didn’t drop a game at first doubles. Ally Magard and Zoey Elwood won 6-1, 6-0 at second doubles, and Grace Jensen and Olivia Bleick put the finishing touches on the win with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
