Maddock dominated her opening match at the state singles tournament on Thursday before her season came to an end in a tight two-setter to fourth-seeded Lauren Rutten (31-2) of Staples-Motley.
Maddock (26-3) won all four of her matches in the Section 6A singles tournament in straight sets as she continues to cement herself as one of the top players in Minnesota. Ellie George and Madeline Anderson take fourth in doubles.
Top-seeded Leah Maddock of Osakis went 2-0 in the singles bracket on day one of the Section 6A Individual Tournament, while the fifth-seeded team of Ellie George and Madeline Anderson did the same in the doubles bracket. Minnewaska had some wins but no individual advanced to the semifinals.
Defending section champion Litchfield was too much for the Silverstreaks in the finals on Tuesday, but Osakis finished another winning season with an 18-7 overall record.
Minnewaska earned a 6-1 win over Melrose Thursday to advance to the Section 6A Team Semifinals on Tuesday in Rogers. Minnewaska will play top-seeded Litchfield on Tuesday and the winner will advance to face either Osakis or New London-Spicer in the Section 6A Team Championship later that day.
Alexandria earns some wins at the 8AA North Subsection Individual tournament but sees its season come to an end.

The Osakis girls tennis team began the Section 6A Team Tournament on Wednesday on a strong note with a 7-0 win over St. John's Prep. The Silverstreaks are set to compete in the section tournament semifinals in Rogers on Tuesday.
The Alexandria girls tennis team went 1-1 at the 8AA north subsection team tournament on Tuesday, while Osakis ended its regular season with a win over Foley. Osakis begins the Section 6A playoffs with a home match at 3 p.m. Wednesday against St. John's Prep.
Alexandria earns another close win over Sartell to end the regular season with a 12-9 record.
