The Alexandria girls swim and dive team left no doubt in picking up its first win of the season on Thursday night.
The Cardinals dominated Sauk Rapids-Rice, winning 110-71 by winning 10 of the 12 events.
“Overall, this meet was a huge success for the girls as they tested the waters with some new events, and achieved splits and times that look more like they came from last year's conference meet than the second meet of the season,” Alexandria head coach Crysta Krause said.
Things started fast for the Cardinals as Sidney Johnson, Jisella Haskamp, Alaina Guenther and Grace Urke won the 200-medley relay in 1:58.38. Urke added a win in the 200 IM a short time later in 2:23.96.
Hattie Galloway got in the individual win column by taking the 50 freestyle (25.36) and the 100 butterfly (1:03.71), while Lauren Hornstein paced the varsity divers with a first-place finish after totaling 168.10 points.

Summer Overland dominated the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:52.13. Teammate Allea Balcome was second in 6:12.19.
The group of McKenna Horan, Julia Wilmesmeier, Haskamp and Galloway won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:45.04. The final relay win came from Wilmesmeier, Urke, Horan and Galloway in the 400.
Johnson added an individual win in the 100 backstroke (1:06.04), and Urke dominated the 100 breaststroke in 1:14.72.
