A three-goal second period for the Alexandria boys hockey team propelled it to a 4-3 road victory over Fergus Falls on Tuesday.
Christian Canavati, Parker Revering and Eli Heckert each scored goals in the second period that gave the Cardinals a 4-2 lead heading into the second intermission. Alec Wosepka scored Alexandria’s first period goal while Peter Johnson scored for Fergus Falls.
Mitch Cole and Alex Phillipe tallied goals for Fergus Falls, but the Cardinals managed to cling to a 4-3 lead for the remainder of the game.
Christian Reimers made the start in goal, saving 24 of 27 shots on goal for the win.
Andrew MacFarlane was handed the loss for Fergus Falls after stopping 35 of 39 shots on goal.
The win improved the Cardinals to a 3-0-1 record this season, including a 2-0-1 mark against CLC opponents.
