Morris/Benson Area routed Worthington Tuesday night 12-1, giving the Storm a 13-game win streak heading into Section 6A tournament play.

First and second round games will be played at the high seed tomorrow, Saturday, and Tuesday with the finals being held at the Moorhead Sports Center on February 19.

Sara Rajewsky pulled off a hat trick for the Storm as seven players for MBA scored in the contest.

Brooke Falk of Minnewaska made five stops in goal.

The Storm, which is a combination of players from Morris Area, Benson, Minnewaska Area and Ortonville, has just 12 players on the roster.

After allowing Redwood Valley to score the first goal of the game, the Morris/Benson Area (Morris Area, Benson, Minnewaska Area and Ortonville) girls' hockey team went on a tear, scoring 17 goals for a 17-2 win to secure the Storm's first ever Southwest Conference championship Thursday night.

This is the squad's first year in a conference, having played as an independent for the last several seasons.

Minnewaska's Sam Falk had a hat trick in the second period to pace the Storm's 13-goal performance in that stretch. She finished with four goals and one assist in the game.

Sarah Rajewski also added four goals and Caroline Westberg added three.

The Storm have just 12 players on their roster.

Brooke Falk recorded 35 saves in goal as the Morris/Benson Area Storm girls' hockey team came from behind to edge Detroit Lakes 3-2 Saturday, increasing their winning streak to 12 games.

Dani Schultz led the Storm, scoring all three goals, including the game winner with just 24 seconds remaining. Sam Falk and Sara Rajewsky each had an assist.

Schultz had the game's first goal on an assist by S. Falk, but Detroit Lakes came back with a goal in the second, going ahead on a goal midway through the third period. The two Schultz goals were scored in the last two minutes of the game.
