Rooney, Johnson, 200 free relay earn championships

Alexandria's Aaron Rooney earned Central Lakes Conference championship honors as he finished first in the diving competition at St. Cloud Tech Saturday.

Rooney scored a 438.60 for first, nearly 20 points ahead of the second place finisher.

Dylan Johnson finished first overall in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.54, more than two seconds ahead of Dominic Jones of Fergus Falls, and the Cardinal 200 free relay team was first in a time of 1:33.00.
