Some golfers are still trying to hold onto summer, and Mitch Thoennes of Carlos made the most of one of the final rounds of his season in Minnesota.
Thoennes was golfing at the Nordic Trails Golf Course on Nov. 7 when he aced the par-three eighth hole. It was playing 108 yards, and he got the hole-in-one by using a pitching wedge. Alyssa Boysen witnessed the ace.
