The Osakis softball team got two much-needed wins against Upsala Tuesday night.

After falling 8-6 to Annandale Monday, the Silverstreaks took both games in Tuesday's doubleheader.

Following the 7-1 game-one win, the Silverstreaks did all the damage they needed to do to win game two. An eight-run second inning was enough to get Osakis back to .500 (8-8).

Jaden Klimek and Hayleigh Niehoff turned in two great pitching performances. Klimek threw a complete game without giving up an earned run. She gave up four hits and struck out eight batters. Niehoff also threw a complete game and gave up just two earned runs.

Head coach John Stigman has emphasized being better in the field. The Silverstreaks had only two errors in 14 innings - a step forward Stigman was happy to see.

"Defensively, we played errorless ball in the second game- turning two double plays," he said. "It was a strong game all around. We had very good performances by our team in both games. We played two very good softball games today and got contributions from everyone in the dugout and on the field."
