The Alexandria girls soccer team was originally scheduled to play its Section 8A semifinals game against Bemidji on Tuesday, but inclement weather has pushed that game back a day.
Fourth-seeded Bemidji and second-seeded Alexandria will now play on Wednesday night at 7 at Alexandria Area High School with a trip to the section title game on the line.
Tuesday’s weather forecast in Alexandria is calling for snow and a high of 32 degrees. Wednesday will still be cold with a 33-degree high temperature, but it is forecasted to be drier with just cloudy skies.
The winner of Alexandria (8-1-3) versus Bemidji (8-3-2) will face the winner of Sartell (9-3) and St. Cloud Cathedral (7-2-2) in the title game. The Sabres are the top seed in the south half of the bracket, while Cathedral is seeded second.
The Section 8A championship is scheduled for Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. in Brainerd.
