The Alexandria girls soccer team had a bounce-back season after finishing under .500 in 2018 as the Cardinals wrapped up 2019 at 10-6-1.
Alexandria honored a lot of the athletes who helped lead the way to that, with senior defender Shea Issendorf taking the team’s MVP Award. Issendorf was an anchor on a team that allowed just 1.2 goals-per game this season. That was the third lowest of the nine Central Lakes Conference teams.
Issendorf, Camille Hegstad and Anna Zwilling were All-CLC players, and Kylee James, Emma Reineke and Myah Kremer were honorable-mention selections.
In other team-voted awards, freshman Ella Westlund earned the Hustle Award. Summer Gerhardt was named the most-improved player and Hadlee Hansen took home the Coaches Award.
