The Brandon-Evansville girls basketball team ran into one of the best teams in Section 6A on Monday night as Hancock (13-0) dominated in a 63-26 final.

The Owls, ranked eighth in the Feb. 24 Class A Minnesota Basketball News polls, led 34-9 at the half. They held the Chargers (5-7) to a season low in points. Hancock is allowing opponents to score just 37.3 points per game, lowest in all of Section 6A.

“Hats off to Hancock. They are a very impressive team,” B-E head coach Zach Traphagen said. “We never could get in any rhythm offensively, a lot of that is a credit to them. We will learn from this one, forget about it, and move forward as a team to prepare for a very good West Central team on Thursday.”

Bailey Schaefer had 11 points to lead the Chargers, while Kylee Dingwall added five points, four rebounds and four steals.
