The Alexandria softball team ran into one of the top teams in the Central Lakes Conference on Tuesday night in Brainerd.

The Warriors, a Class 4A program, are 14-3 now and 12-1 in the CLC to wrap up a share of the league title with Sartell after winning 8-1 and 13-0 games against Alexandria (13-5, 9-5 CLC). Schaefer knocks in 12 as Chargers sweep Hancock

Brandon-Evansville (13-3) won two more Pheasant Conference games on Tuesday night by sweeping Hancock (8-6) in 11-3 and 14-3 (5 innings) finals.

Bailey Schaefer had a day to remember. She tallied 12 total RBIs after going 4-of-5 in the 11-3 win with two triples and a double, and then adding two home runs and 5 RBIs in the 14-3 win.

“We were able to find our groove in the batter’s box in the second game,” B-E head coach Kasi Sieling said. “Battling through some rain and the elements is never easy, but Taylin (Kramer) did a nice job of working through it and keeping runners off the bases. We saw contributions from every one of our batters in this second game and they all did a nice job of hitting the ball hard to move runners around. These were two huge team wins against a tough team.”
