KERKHOVEN — The West Central Area-Ashby-Brandon-Evansville wrestling team continues to showcase itself as one of the top programs in Class A as the Knights easily swept two matches at the Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Tri on Friday night.
The Knights won 69-9 against Quad County. Carter Lohse (113), Adam Lohse (120), Hunter Gruchow (132) and Beau Robinson (182) all had pins for WCA-A-B-E. Mason Richter (126, forfeit), Solomon Wales (138, forfeit), Ezekiel Sieckert (145, forfeit), Ashton Danner (152, forfeit), Reubens Swanson (160, 11-2 MD), Anthony Sykora (170, 22-5 TF) and Tyler Stone (220, forfeit) added wins as well.
The Knights also took care of KMS in a 46-12 match.
Owen Gruchow started things with a 10-4 decision win at 106. Adam Lohse, Mason Richter, Shad Swanson, Hunter Gruchow and Solomon Wales racked up wins between 120 and 145. Swanson, Sykora, Beau Robinson, Will Rustan and Colton Lindquist finished off the team victory with individual wins.
