MONTEVIDEO — The West Central Area volleyball team moved to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the West Central Conference by going to Montevideo on Tuesday and coming back to Barrett with a 3-1 win.
The Knights dropped set two, 25-22, after taking the first set 25-19. They bounced back with a 25-22 win in the third and put the match away with a 25-16 win in the fourth.
“Our play tonight was a little disjointed,” WCA head coach Melissa Foslien said. “Addison Staples didn’t start for us. She’s battling an injury, so a change in our lineup shifted our play a little bit. Wylie McNally made her debut in a conference match and played well on the outside. Mya Foslien had a nice night serving and hitting. Whitney Westrom and Macy Grosz played great defense. We had to get a touch on hits to have a chance and we won some and lost some, but I think our hustle and drive gave us the edge.”
