The Osakis tennis program keeps adding to its impressive run through the regular season as the Silverstreaks improved to 13-4 with a 4-3 win over St. Michael-Albertville on Saturday.
St. Michael-Albertville plays a class level above Osakis at the AA level.
“Great win for our team today over STMA,” Osakis head coach Ryan Maddock said. “The girls are really having a nice season and are working hard to keep improving.”
Freshman Leah Maddock continued her big season at No. 1 singles for the Silverstreaks as she persevered in a third set against senior Anika Rogers.
The Silverstreaks got the team win by controlling the doubles lineup with straight-set victories at all three spots. Ellie George and Madeline Anderson won at first doubles. Lauren Anderson and Madi Collins took the second spot, and Brenna Moen and Lyndsey Middendorf dropped just two games at third doubles.
