For the second time this season, the Alexandria girls tennis team has earned a 4-3 win over the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres, this time on the road.
With this win, the Cardinals finish the regular season with a 12-9 record and a third-place finish in the Central Lakes Conference.
The Cardinals swept the doubles matches and had a win at No. 1 singles by Marisa Rousu to win the match.
The teams of Rachel Wegner/Kylie Lattimer, Chelby Runge/Jalyn Halverson and Ayla Rolin/Morgan Aure earned sweeps at No.1, 2 and 3 doubles respectively.
Alexandria begins Sub-section 8AA North tournament play in Fargo, North Dakota, on Tuesday, with the team tournament starting at 8 a.m.. Alexandria got the fifth seed and will take on fourth-seeded Moorhead in the opening round of play.
