Swim and Dive: Sartell tops Alexandria 110-76

Alexandria earns four first place finishes in a loss to Sartell-St. Stephen.

The Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres handed the Alexandria girls swimming and diving team its second loss of the season on Thursday with a 110-76 win.

Alexandria had first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle with Brooklyn Millward, in the 500 freestyle with Summer Overland, in the 100 backstroke with Grace Urke and in the 400 freestyle relay with Urke, Millward, Alaina Guenther and Jisella Haskamp.

The Cardinals had second-place finishes from Urke (200 IM), Haskamp (50 and 100 freestyle), Lauren Hornstein (1-meter dive), Millward (100 butterfly), in the 200 freestyle relay with Guenther, Emma Bugher, Millward and Haskamp; and in the 100 breaststroke (Bugher).

Alexandria is on the road for the West Fargo meet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
