Softball: Swanville rallies past Osakis

Two runs in the top of the seventh helped Swanville overcome an early 4-0 deficit.

The Osakis and Swanville softball teams were tied at 6 in the top of the seventh inning on Friday when Lauren Miller singled in a run for Swanville.

That was part of a two-run final frame for the Bulldogs as they held on to win 8-6.

Maggie Dirkes homered and scored two runs for Osakis.

Hayleigh Niehoff went all seven innings from the pitching circle, allowing 10 hits, eight runs and striking out eight. Kennedee Chuba got the win for Swanville after allowing the six runs through seven innings. She struck out six.
