The Alexandria gymnastics team had a strong showing on senior night on Thursday as it earned a 136.875-130.5 victory over Sauk Rapids-Rice.
Addison Fettig had the best all-around score, as she posted a score of with a score 32.65, a personal best.
In total, the Cardinals posted six personal bests and had one tied for personal best.
Dylan Witt posted a score of 9.37 on the vault, her personal best, and took first place, while Sara Eddy placed second (9.3), and Fettig placed third (9.1).
On the bars, Alexandria took the top five spots, led by Izzy Kent, who posted a personal best score of (8.9), while Addison Gulbrandson placed second with a personal best score of (8.05). Witt placed third by posting a personal best score of 8.0, while Kiera Christensen placed fourth with a score of 7.85 and Fettig’s personal best score of 7.8 gave her a fifth place finish.

Eddy had Alexandria’s best finish on the beam by posting a score of 8.7, while Kent placed third with a personal best score of 8.65, and Christensen tied for her personal best and placed fifth.
In the flood competition, Hannah Skillings made her varsity debut. Witt placed first in the competition with a score of 9.0, while Eddy placed second with a score of 8.7, and Chloe Steele placed fifth with a score of 8.3.
Alexandria is now preparing for the Central Lakes Conference meet on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m. in Brainerd.
