The Alexandria gymnastics team earned another win at home as it defeated Fergus Falls 133.7-128.5 on Thursday.
Thursday’s win featured many highlights for the Cardinals as their top four scores on the vault combined for a total of 36.55, the third-highest in program history. The school record is 36.7.
Alexandria took the top four spots on the vault, with Sara Eddy winning first with a 9.35 (season best), Dylan Witt finishing second with a 9.3 (tied personal best), Addison Fettig taking third with a 9.15 and Jamie Aldis taking fourth with an 8.75.
Izzy Kent scored a season best 8.35 on the bars and took first on Thursday. Fettig placed fourth with a 7.65 and Witt placed fifth with a 7.6.
Witt scored a total of 8.9 in the floor event and won first place, while Eddy placed third 8.4 and Chloe Steele placed fifth with a total of 8.15.

Addison Twa and Savannah Auran tied for first on the beam with scores of 8.55, which were personal bests for both. For Auran, Thursday’s meet was her varsity debut.
Eddy placed third on the beam with a score of 7.8 and Fettig placed fifth with a 7.75 (tied for personal best).
Twa had the highest all-around score on the night, totaling 32.55. Fettig recorded a personal best score of 32.4 and placed second, while Witt placed fourth with a total of 25.8 and Eddy placed fifth with a total of 25.55
The Cardinals are on the road for a meet against Little Falls on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
