The Alexandria and Edina girls golf teams took part in 9-hole dual on Thursday at Braemar Golf Club in Edina that resulted in a tie.
Each team had eight golfers in the meet and the top four scores from the players listed in the lineup from positions one through six, are counted towards the team scores (positions seven and eight are technically exhibition scores).
The top four scores from the top six positions from each team combined to be 159.
“The meet was a fun opportunity for our players to get back on the course and play a very competitive team,” Alexandria head coach Tim Zupfer said.
Alexandria is the defending Class AAA state champion and Edina finished third in Class AAA at the 2021 state championships.

“Lauren scored much better than a week ago,” Zupfer said. “She hit four out of six fairways and five out of nine greens in regulation. She was very excited with improved wedge play. Hannah was a little frustrated with her short game. Overall, her ball-striking was good, hitting four out of six fairways.”
