The West Central Area girls basketball team took to Royalton (2-1) on Saturday where it lost 56-43.
“I am very proud of the growth my team has made from game one to game two,” WCA head coach Becca Holland said.
Macy Grosz led the Knights in scoring, while Addison Staples also reached double figures with 10. Jayden Styba led the Knights in rebounds with seven.
Grosz also had a team-high four deflections, while Sydney Ulrich had three. Styba, Staples and Grosz each had three assists. Claire Stark led the team in blocks with three.
Roylaton’s Kylie Waytashek scored a game-high 17 points, while Mya Yourczek had a double-double, 10 points and 11 rebounds.

WCA (0-2) begins conference play with a game on the road against Sauk Centre (2-0) on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
