After a week long break, the Alexandria boys hockey team earned another win on the road on Thursday as it defeated the Brainerd Warriors, 5-1.
Brainerd jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first period, but a goal by Alexandria’s Nick Peterson knotted the game up at one.
Gavin Olson provided Alexandria with the go-ahead goal early in the second period, while Leo Kompelien and Jack Breitzmann scored twice in the third period.
Tyler Kludt, Evan Anderson, Jack Lamski, Mason Loch, and Caleb Lind had assists for Alexandria (10-12-1, 7-2 Central Lakes Conference) in the win over Brainerd (10-12-3, 5-6 CLC).
Alexandria had a 31-24 shot on goal edge in the game. EJ Rasmusen earned the win in net for the Cardinals and made 23 saves.

The Cardinals round out their regular season with a tilt against the St. Cloud Crush (9-12-1, 7-1-1 CLC) on Friday at home at 7:15 p.m.
