ORTONVILLE - The Ashby Arrows continue to have a good season as it earned a doubleheader sweep of Ortonville on Monday on the road. Ashby is now 12-0 on the year.
Ashby won game one 10-1 and game two 4-1.
The Arrows had 12 hits in game one. Seniors Evan Paulson and Matson Hoff led the Arrows in hits with three a piece.
Senior Hunter Norby got the start on the mound for the Arrows in game one. He pitched 2 2/3 innings and he allowed just one run, no hits and he struck out five batters. Torin Olson and Carson Spangler served as relievers in game one.
Ortonville jumped ahead 1-0 in the second game but Ashby scored four unanswered runs to win the game.

“We got behind early in both games but settled in and went ahead with some timely hitting,” Ashby head coach Jared Larson said.
Carter Spangler threw a gem on the mound for the Arrows as he recorded 13 strikeouts, allowed only three hits and allowed just one run in seven innings pitched.
In the batter’s box, Hoff was once again a factor for the Arrows in game two. He led the team in hits with two in his three plate appearances.
The Arrows play Hayfield on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Jordan.
