The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will host a virtual open house for anyone interested in deer and deer management to take part in on Aug. 18.
Anyone from the public can access the open house from their computer, smartphone or telephone. Those who want to take part should register online at https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/mammals/deer/management/deer-open-houses.html. The meeting is set to run from 6-7 p.m.
The open house will include a presentation from DNR big-game program leader Barbara Keller. She will share information about Minnesota’s deer and deer hunter populations, explain some of the bigger changes for this fall’s deer hunting season and how the public can provide input about deer management in their areas. The end of the meeting will be dedicated to a live question-and-answer session.
