Outdoor briefs: Local Viking Sportsmen, QDMA, NWTF banquets coming up
Viking Sportsmen banquet
The 2019 Viking Sportsmen banquet is set for Thursday, April 4 at the Holiday Inn in Alexandria.

Social hour begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 7. Limited to the first 350 people. Money raised at the banquet goes to benefit local outdoor projects and programs. Included in that is the Youth Outdoor Activity Day hosted by the Viking Sportsmen and Douglas County Pheasants Forever that brought in more than 2,200 kids for a day filled with outdoor activities in 2018.

Gobblers of Glacial Ridge
The Gobblers of Glacial Ridge, a local branch of the National Wild Turkey Federation, will host its membership banquet on April 6 at the Minnewaska House in Glenwood.
Money raised through the banquet goes to fund a large group of outdoor-related projects, including youth events, educational scholarships, winter food plots and habitat work.

Prairie to Woods Whitetails
Prairie to Woods Whitetails, the local branch of the Quality Deer Management Association, is hosting its 11th annual banquet on March 30 at the Parkers Prairie Event Center.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner is served at 7. Thousands of dollars worth of guns, bows and other prizes will be available to win.
