The Osakis girls' basketball team went on the road to get its second straight win to start the season on Tuesday night.
The Silverstreaks traveled to Royalton to open the Prairie Conference and came home with a 43-35 win. Osakis led by three at the break and held the Royals to just 17 points in the second to hold on for the win.
"This was a nice road win for us," head coach Pat Kalpin said. "But more importantly, a good way to start our conference play. The girls really fought hard tonight. The baskets did not come easy, but defensively they once again played with a lot of energy and made Royalton work for every basket they got."
Annalise Savageau once again had a strong all-around game for Osakis. She filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, six steals, five rebounds and five assists. Calista Sadlemyer added 13 points, while going 3-for-4 from the three-point line.
The Silverstreaks will face its toughest task of the season tonight, Friday, when they travel to Upsala. The Cardinals are 3-0 and coming off a 70-51 win over Holdingford on Monday.
