The Alexandria softball team has hit the ground running offensively so far this season.

Through four games, the Cardinals are 4-0 after scoring 56 combined runs. Their latest wins came by 10-0 and 9-6 scores at Bemidji on Thursday.

Brooklyn Stender had a triple as part of two hits, two runs scored and three RBIs in that 10-0 win. Chloe Loch, Emma Magaard and Aubrie Porter all doubled in the game, and the Cardinals used 10 walks at the plate to apply pressure on Bemidji.

That was plenty of offense for Josie Steidl. The senior went all five innings and struck out six, while scattering four hits and two walks in the shutout.
The Cardinals used a four-run fifth inning to secure the 9-6 win. Stender had another big game, going 3-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and three RBIs. Kinzie Johnson had three doubles with an RBI and two runs scored.

Emily Harris got the win by going all seven innings and allowing just two earned runs. Harris struck out eight and worked around five hits and three walks allowed.
