The Echo Press wants to see your fish photos from the Minnesota opener

We don’t need to know what lake the fish were caught on if that’s holding you back from sharing. Photos and responses submitted by the night of Monday, May 17, will be used in our outdoor section in the May 22 issue of the Echo Press or in future editions.

The Echo Press wants to see your fish photos and hear about why the fishing opener is important to you.

We don’t need to know what lake the fish were caught on if that’s holding you back from sharing. Simply send a photo to Eric Morken at emorken@echopress.com with the names of all the anglers (from left to right) in the photo and where those anglers are from.

If willing, answer these questions: What are your opener traditions and why is the annual walleye and northern pike opener important to you?

Photos and responses submitted by the night of Monday, May 17, will be used in our outdoor section in the May 22 issue of the Echo Press or in future editions.

Eric Morken is a sports and outdoor editor at the Echo Press Newspaper in Alexandria, Minnesota, a property of the Forum News Service. Morken covers a variety of stories throughout the Douglas County area, as well as statewide outdoor issues.
