Minnewaska goes 1-2 against good programs at Litchfield

Thorfinnsons team up to get Lakers' lone point against third-ranked Litchfield by winning at first doubles.


The Minnewaska girls tennis team (7-7) went to a quad at Litchfield on Saturday and came back with a 1-2 record against some good competition.

Maddie Thorfinnson and Alissa Thorfinnson teamed up to get the Lakers’ lone win in a 6-1 loss to Class A’s third-ranked Litchfield. They won 6-2, 6-2 at first doubles.

Minnewaska got a 6-1 win against Jordan as Olivia Richards, Maddie Thorfinnson and Leah Hagen got singles wins. Addy Randt and Sydney Dahl won at first doubles. Alia Randt and Megan Thorfinnson won at second doubles, and Grace Jensen and Avarie Uhde took the third-doubles match.

Foley won a 5-2 decision. Megan Thorfinnson won 6-3, 4-6, 10-5 at third singles for Minnewaska in that one, and Maddie Thorfinnson and Olivia Richards won 6-3, 7-5 at first doubles.
