The Miltona Tigers baseball team saw its season come to an end on Saturday afternoon with a home playoff loss to Urbank.
The Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second inning before a five-run third inning for Urbank gave them a 6-2 victory. Miltona had its chances to get back in the game as eight runners were stranded in scoring position and 11 total were left on base.
The Tigers were led at the plate by Tim Vanderwerf with two hits. Kevin Engebretson, Jake Leuschke and Andrew Radjl each collected a hit, as well.
Radjl also gave his team a chance to get back in the game with a strong performance on the mound. He threw six innings of relief work and allowed one run on three hits.
It was not quite enough as the Tigers were bounced from the Resorters East qualifier tournament.
