Mass, Saurer, Froemming, and Satter bring home feature wins from the Viking Speedway

The Viking Speedway in Alexandria was in the third weekend of its summer racing schedule this Saturday as the local oval hosted a Super Stock Special on May 22 that included all regular classes running.

Dave Mass of East Bethel won the Super Stock feature as he held off local driver Jeff Crouse in second place. Matt Miller of Glenwood was third.

Justin Froemming of Elbow Lake won the 20-car Midwest Modifieds feature ahead of Fergus Falls’ Brock Gronwold and Travis Saurer of Elizabeth. Saurer did leave the night with one feature win as he took the checkered flag in the Modified Division. Blake Jegtvig of Hawley and Brady Gerdes of Villard were second and third, respectively.

Dent’s Ryan Satter won the Street Stock feature, while Eric Riley of Morris and Alexandria’s Andrew Bangsund were second and third.

The Viking Speedway is back in action for a Memorial Day Doubleheader on May 29 and 30.
