Rain has delayed the state aspirations of the Alexandria Black junior legion baseball team.
Alex Black was scheduled to play East Grand Forks today in the Junior Legion Division I Outstate Tournament at Knute Nelson Ballpark, with the winner advancing to the state tournament, but the game has been pushed to Friday at 2 p.m. due to Thursday’s inclimate weather.
The winner will join Perham at the state tourney. Perham defeated Alexandria 7-0 on Wednesday to clinch its spot with a perfect 3-0 tournament. The loss was Alex’s first in three games, while EGF is 3-0 since losing 6-2 in the first round to Perham.
