The Alexandria Nordic ski teams were in Detroit Lakes for the second time this season on Tuesday as the Cardinals skied in a 3-loop race.

“Temps hovered around the 0-degree mark,” Alexandria head coach Jeremy Rapp said. “But we were able to spike to about 10, which made for slow snow.”

Bemidji, Moorhead, Fergus Falls, Little Falls, Detroit Lakes, Brainerd, TrekNorth and Wadena-Deer Creek joined the Cardinals at the meet.

The Alexandria girls finished fourth as a team with 347 points. Brainerd won with 387, and Bemidji was second at 374.

Jaelyn Miller had Alexandria’s best varsity finish as she took fourth individually in a time of 16:22. Amanda Bergerson was 14th (17:42) and Kasey Soderholm added top-20 finish in 16th place (18:07). Dulce Bakker (23rd, 18:52), Bobbi Nichols (27th, 19:07), Mackenzie Jurchenko (28th, 19:08), Lauren Englund (34th, 19:46) and Teresa Bitzan (43rd, 21:15) also skied in the varsity meet for the Cardinals.
