The Ashby baseball team got a 1-0 win over Hancock in its season opener on April 20.

The Arrows’ pitchers combined to strike out 14 batters. Hunter Norby started on the mound and tossed five no-hit innings. He struck out 10 and also went 1-for-2 at the plate. Jaden Norby worked the final two innings, allowing just one hit and no runs, while striking out four.

“Both teams’ pitchers were dialed in today,” Ashby head coach Jared Larson said. “It was a very fun game to be a part of and I am super proud of the boys for battling the cold and playing hard. It is great to be on the field again and can’t wait to see what’s to come.”
