The Alexandria boys hockey team improved to 6-1 in the Central Lakes Conference on Thursday night with an easy 12-0 win at Willmar.
Willmar has struggled this season with a 1-15-1 record, and Alexandria (11-4) never let the home Cardinals stick around. Caleb Strong scored 30 seconds into the game, and that was just the beginning of a huge offensive night for Alexandria.
Derek Pesta, Shane Birkeland and Jaeger Steele all had two goals apiece. Josiah Gronholz, Nathaniel Mulder, Joe Westlund, Matthew Carlsen and Cole Walters all had a goal apiece. Strong and Pesta each had four total points, with Strong adding three assists and Pesta finishing with two helpers.
