A Monday morning win for the Northstar Christian Academy hockey team capped off a sweep at the MN Blizzard Showcase in the cities.

The Knights squared off with the Omaha AAA team, a squad they beat the previous night 4-0. This time, Omaha brought more to the table to test NCA’s unbeaten record.

Ben Striden started the scoring to put the Knights up 1-0 midway through the second period. Brody Lucas scored on the power play two minutes later.

With time running out in the second period, Jens Richards scored with an assist from KJ Hjelm to put the Knights up 3-0 heading into the intermission.

Omaha was able to get one goal back, but it was not enough as NCA moved to 15-0 on the season. Camdyn Barber earned his second win of the weekend in goal.

NCA beat MN Blizzard 16U, Blue Army and Omaha AAA twice for a 4-0 weekend. The Knights outscored their opponents 13-3 in those four games. They will head back to the metro area for the North American Prospects Hockey League Showcase in Blaine this weekend.
