The Alexandria gymnastics team got another win and a program record in the process on
Thursday when the Cardinals beat Fergus Falls 138.8-129.25.
The 36.7 score on the vault was the top team score in that event in Alexandria history. Freshman Sara Eddy and junior Ailynn Fettig led the way as both posted personal-best scores of 9.3 to tie for first. Kelsey Fletcher added a 9.1 and Amaya Hughes had a personal-record of 9.0 to finish off the scoring. Junior Hailie Kent was not far behind with a PR of 8.85.
Fletcher (35.15), Fettig (35.05) and Hughes (34.65) were 1-2-3 in the all around. Fletcher led the way in two of the four events, taking first on the bars (8.85) and floor (9.35, season best), while Kent won the beam with a PR of 8.85.
