One of the most exciting weekends at the Alexandria Golf Club will take place this weekend. Starting Friday, over 100 people will compete in teams of two in the member-guest tournament at AGC.

11 six-team flights will dwindle down to 13 total teams that will compete in the shootout on Saturday afternoon. The winners of each flight, a wildcard team that scored the most points without winning its flight and the day-two high point-getters will compete in a hole-by-hole elimination round.

Once two teams are remaining, they go head to head to see who will be crowned the member-guest champion of 2019. The father-son duo of Jerry and Mike Rose were the winners of the event in 2018.

"This weekend is a blast for all of us," AGC head pro Kyle Lee said. "It's cool because when there are only a couple of teams left, everybody watches around the green and it's really exciting."

The shootout will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
