Girls golf: Knights take second at conference meet

The West Central Area girls golf team took second place at Tipsinah Mounds Golf Course during the Quad County Conference Meet.

Jessica St. Martin continued her strong season. She took third place with a score of 88. She was one of 10 golfers that was recognized with all-conference honors.

Lexi Poyzer shot a 44 on the back nine to total her score at 98 and was selected to the all-conference team.

Kate Wrolson finished with a 101 and Libby Poyzer shot a 113 with a par on the tenth hole.

"The Lady Knights had a good day," head coach Kari Kreft said. "Nice shots, some personal best and medals for everyone. Some all-conference recognition made for a great day. It was emotional as four varsity members were seniors and had their last home meet. Hard to see it all come to an end."
