The Osakis girls golf team was in Paynesville on Monday for a Central Minnesota Conference meet and finished tied for second with a team score of 207.
Kadyn Triebenbach led the Silverstreaks with a 48, while Lexi Dirkes was right behind her with a 49. Katie Helm shot a 52, Madison Lipke a 58 and Marissa Reilly rounded out the lineup with a 61.
“The girls had a decent day,” Osakis head coach Chris Grove said. “They were hoping to take back the conference lead or keep it close, but Pierz played really well. We will give it our best on Thursday and see what happens.”
Pierz and Osakis are battling for the top spot overall in the CMC, and the Pioneers took a step toward the league title on Monday with a first-place score of 188. They are in first in the league standings with a total score of 982, 22 shots lower than Osakis’ 1,004 with just one meet left.
