Boys golf: Cardinals runner-up at Minnewaska tri

A busy week for the Alexandria boys golf team wrapped up at Minnewaska on Saturday as the Lakers hosted a two-day triangular with the Cardinals and Lakeville South.

Lakeville South won the tournament by shooting a 614. Alexandria led after day one with a 294 but shot a 324 in windy conditions on day two to finish second overall at 618. Minnewaska shot 320, 318 with its top team to take third at 638.

John Langlois of Lakeville was the meet medalist with a two-day 149 after shooting 71 and 78. Alexandria senior Hunter Rebrovich was right behind him at 150 to take second. He shot 72, 78. Grant Rebrovich tied for fourth (74, 82 - 156) with teammates Braeden Sladek (74, 72 - 156) and Noah Boraas (74, 82 - 156). Joe Bigger tied for 14th at 167 (83, 84) and Elliot Amundson rounded out Alexandria’s top lineup with a 172 (87, 85) to tie for 19th.

Drew Nelson was Minnewaska’s top scorer with a 167 (85, 82) to tie for 14th. Cole Harste was 16th (84, 84 - 168) and Riley Larson was 18th (86, 84 - 170).
